BlackBerry Storm being returned in record numbers

Verizon’s new BlackBerry Storm has been released with a lot of fanfare, but it has had a very high unsatisfactory rate. Many users, from 40 to 50 percent of them, have returned their BlackBerry Storm smart phones because of their dissatisfaction with their performance. Neither Verizon or BlackBerry had any comments about this fiasco. There is no one major reason for the lack of satisfaction but most reasons for the smart phones return but some users have stated a lag in firmware that was releases two weeks after the phone was launched. Many users actually are unhappy with the phones clickable screen saying that it actually slows down their typing. No WiFi was also a deal breaker for many users, what use is a BlackBerry with no Wi-Fi? This will definitely hurt RIM as they were betting on holiday sales of their BlackBerry phones to help them in these dire economic times.
