People Buying Used PC’s for Windows XP

The official verdict on Windows Vista is that “it sucks”. So what can you do when Microsoft jams its newest operating system down your throat with every PC purchase? Apparently, many small business and people themselves are buying older PC’s for the purpose of salvaging the Windows XP. According to one source, it is actually cheaper to get an old PC with XP than getting a new PC with Vista and then downgrading it back to XP. Microsoft is sensitive to the fact that Windows Vista is often despised. The beta for Windows 7 is set to release on January 13th 2009. If you do decide to purchase a used PC, people are recommended to purchase used Dells and HP’s as some unscrupulous PC makers will put pirated copies of XP on their computers.
