Official PS3 Slim Releases in September

Hardly a surprise, but Sony got on stage today at GamesCom event and confirmed what we’ve all known already for a good while now, the new, slimmer PS3 is official. It’ll be out in the first week of September, and will retail for $300 (or 300 Euro). Consuming 34 percent less power and taking up 32 percent less space. So nothing as far as new features or capabilities – just smaller, lighter, and less power consuming. Existing PS3s will get their prices dropped in anticipation for the new Slim PS3.
Now if only they could come up with some good exclusive games worth playing, and I might feel a reason to purchase one of these…
