Blu-Ray disc price drop

We know that Blu-Ray pricing is slowing it from becoming the main format. Many do not see a need to upgrade to the Blu-ray. In my experience I say that its worth the change, especially with upconversion of original DVDS. Blu-Ray manufactures such as Panasonic, Philips and Sony are looking to lower the price and they seem to have found a way. They are claiming to get the price cutting down 40 percent. That would make the player manufacture cost, $9.50 for read only Blu-ray. $14 for a writer. 11 cents for read only. 12 cents for BD-R’s and .15 cents for BD-R’s. They are also hoping to find an way to block out unauthorized BD devices. Will see how that goes.
