It has just been confirmed that Blockbuster, one of the nation’s leading video and DVD rental store chains, will be building a set-top box that streams in digital movies to your television set. Some speculate that the set-top box could come as soon as the holiday season. Although more specifics have yet to be announced, the set-top box will be used in conjunction with Blockbuster’s MovieLink rental service. In addition, Blockbuster plans to amp up support for streaming movies on IPTV hardware by using Intel chips. Please check back as more information comes our way.
